Samsung is now ready to launch Tizen smartphone in India this month. It is Tizen-based smartphone which will run on its own Tizen operating system with its estimate cost sub-$100 (INR 6,000). It is planned by South Korea’s Samsung Company to bring this featured smartphone with in budget.
South Korea’s Maeil Business newspaper said on Monday that, Samsung will hold a press conference on 10th December to launch its first Tizen smartphone to be known as Z1. Samsung had primarily decided to launch Tizen smartphone in Russia in the third quarter but scrapped the plan. At this the firm said that, it wanted to further develop its ecosystem behind Tizen.
The major features of this Tizen Smartphone includes: 1.2 GHz processor, 4-inch 800×480 pixel display, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal memory (expandable by up to 32 GB via micro SD card support) and it consists of 3.2 MP rear camera. It will also going to be dual SIM functionality and integrated with FM Radio.
In this latest smartphone by Samsung, it will run on its own operating system and it is Samsung and Intel’s co-developed operating system. This operating system is designed to diminish the dependency of Samsung on Google’s Android Platform.
It is also reported that Samsung was planning to launch its Tizen smartphone in November. Samsung is trying to drop Samsung Z in favor of other inexpensive Tizen devices. The Tizen Z1 is the first great smartphone available featuring 4.8 inch super AMOLED display as like Samsung Galaxy S3.
